Hey Laurent and Catherine,

We had long journeys home and for my sake it took 22 hours
leaving your place and entering my doorstep. Thank you so
much for hosting us - our home in Jo'burg !!! we enjoyed it very
much and you Laurent have such an immense knowledge about
the continent: the wildlife, nature but as important , aspects of
the political and the daily life of African Countries. You are a
very generous man!

Sorry we never really got the time to sit down and talk with
Cat, as she speaks good English and we DO also speak some
french - at least we never have problem expressing ourselves
in Indochina or Morroco (forget Paris as they always speak
English!) Anyway we do it an other time.

The day trip to Soweto / Oscar Pieterson Museum was fantastic and we can only recommend Jabu as a guide!!!

The French Guest House

Die Gastgeber sind ein freundliches und zuvorkommendes Ehepaar aus Frankreich.

Ein schoener Platz inmitten eines ruigen wohnquartiers nahe des Johannisburger Flugplatzes aber mit minimalem Fluglaerm.

Das Gaestehaus hat einen gepflegten Garten. Im hinterhofe finded man einen groesszuegigen relaxbereich mit einem enormen swimmingpool.

Die Zimmer sind einfach aber gemuetlich, hell und sauber. Es giebt ausreichend heisses wasser und alles was man benoetigt.

Die Gastgeberin kocht gute europaeische kueche fuer einen angemessenen preis, das fruestueck ist inklusive und ist grosszuegig.

Die preise fuer die uebernachtung halted sich in grenzen und lohnen sich zu bezahlen. Gratis abhohl- unf bringdinst zum flughafen. DSTV (mehr als 4 Kanaele Fernsehen). Intenet fuer R15 pro halbe stunde mit einer vergleichbar schnellen geschwindigkeit. Man kann sich also einspannen und dei zeit vertreiben.

Alles in allem eine gemuetliche atmosphaere mit gemeinsamen essen und vielen gespraechen. Fuer alle fragen im bezug auf reisen in ganz Suedafrika und darueber hinaus wendet man sich an den gastgeber der bestens bescheid weis
Franzoesisch von vorteil, Deutsch ein wenig, Englisch kein Problem

The French Guest House

The hosts are a very friendly and gentle French couple. A peaceful place near the Johannisburg Airport. But fare away from it to have a good sleep.

The house's garden is well done and in the backyard is a nice relaxing area and a big pool to find.

The guestrooms are simple but very cosy and well cleaned. There is plenty of warm water and everything to feel at home.

The housewife cooks a good European kitchen for a appropriate price. The breackfast is included in the stay over price and is generously served.

The price to stay a night at The French Guest House is likely to pay, it's worthy to spend it and you will enjoy it.

There is also: a free pick up and bring service to the airport, internet for R15 for 30min with a quite fast connection, DSTV satelite television and always a open ear to find for any kind of questions about the city or hole africa. It's the perfect place to relax from travelling, get good informations, and spend a night near the airport for a short brether in a cosy antmosphere.

Une super adresse, proche de l'aéroport donc bien pratique des
qu'on débarque,

Quartier trés calme, un joli petit jardin rempli d'oiseaux
Un accueil très chaleureux pour cette guest house très propre
et décorée avec gout, jolie piscine
Comme Griffe, super repas ( merci Catherine pour ton accueil,
toujours aux petits soins), et à vous 2 vous avez fait un
super boulot, encore merci et longue vie à ce lieu que je
recommande les yeux fermés........
un lieu ou l'on s'y sent bien............

Un peu tard (mais j'ai une bonne excuse, j'etais en vadrouille),
je m'inscris dans les elogieux temoignages precedants sur la
French Guest House.
Fanny et moi y avons passe de tres agreables moments,
tres bien mange et fait de bonnes rencontres!
En souhaitant a Laurent et Catherine une bonne poursuite
de ces debuts prometteurs!

Bonjour,

Quels changements dans la maison par rapport aux premières
photos que nous avions vues.
Félicitations, c'est magnifique ! Tu as bossé comme une chef.
Les photos (oiseaux et fleurs) sont très belles.
Pour l'interrogation sur les noms manquants (sous toutes
réserves, pas sûre...sûre...) :
fleur sous le lézard : une variété de CANNA
fleur sous le bee : oeillet d'inde
fleur sous les roses : une autre variété de CANNA
Par contre pour les oiseaux, joker, aucunes idées.
Si tu as confirmation, je serai contente de savoir si j'ai
le droit de rejouer une autre fois ...
